Rumor has it, the epic "National Anthem Standoff" is making its way back to college baseball.
The National Anthem is a sacred tradition that is held before every sporting event. To gain an alpha edge, teams started participating in a standoff after the completion of the song. The goal of the standoff is simple: the last team standing after the anthem is over wins. Teams use intimidation and personal stamina to be the last standing, showing the other team who the real savages are before the game even begins.
One of the most legendary standoffs was between Coastal Carolina and UCONN. It was a showdown that lasted over two minutes. Watch the video above to see who the real alphas are.
After officials started to discipline players for these standoffs, we saw it start to disappear from the game. However, we are happy to hear that it may be making a comeback for pure entertainment purposes and a whole lot of alpha-ness.
There is no official video evidence yet, however, rumors are sparking that the "National Anthem Standoff" is coming back to college baseball. Absolute Savage is on the hunt for teams that are still doing this epic showdown. If you experience this or have any footage, be a savage and send it our way to be featured.
