I blogged about the greatest offensive show in DIII baseball before they even were ranked number one. Just a simple preseason #3, who beat the snot out of the Lasell College in their first game.
Over the next 10 games they did nothing but continue to pound the ball down south, and solidify their title as UMASH Baseball. Averaging just under 10 runs per game (106) through 11 games to start off the season, they currently are sitting alone on top of the DIII baseball throne.
Dave Murphy the Sr. continues to perform as expected, if not better. Through 11 games he is leading the UMash Bros, hitting at a cool .422 clip with 4 yard jobs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs, carving out his own path as one of the premier DIII baseball players in all of the land.
Savage Beard for Dave Murphy btw..
Helping contribute to a team batting average of .328, sophomore OF/C Ryan McCormick is ripping at a ferocious pace to the tune of a .455 average, leading the team in RBIs (16), doubles (6) and hits (20).
UMASH will begin to get into conference play if it ever stops snowing in New England, and their first goal will be a Little East Conference Championship, moving on to a national championship. If you are local to the area, and are now aware of how good this team actually is, get out there and watch some high quality baseball and know that everyone at Absolute Savage is 100% behind UMASH Boston baseball, as they represent the local talent, and strive towards a national championship.
Best of luck boys, and continue to punish the baseball at a ferocious pace.
If you are currently a young savage mashing his brains out in high school, and want to play for the greatest DIII team in the country, follow this recruiting link I pulled off their webpage http://www.beaconsathletics.com/sports/m-basebl/recruit1.
